when installing aftermarket fog lights, can I run the ground wire to a ground...and the power wire to the power wire for the headlights? I want them to come on whenever the headlights have power(always) without a switch.

Well first of all let us know what kind of g20 you have a t or a bone stock, did it have fogs or not , check for the oem wiring it might be there, if not one of us can help you out with the wiring of the new ones!:D

it's a 92' P10 not a t... so no factory fogs...and I've heard that some peoples G20s have the wiring, but no lights...mine has neither.

Well what you want to do is buy an inexpensive tester with a light( I think they run for $6).

Turn on your parking light's check each wire with the tester to see a + turn on & off to make sure that is the wire you want.

Then do all your hook ups.

Remember when installing the ground find a good place clean it up with some sand paper so you get metal to metal contact.
(cover it up with some paint after screwing/bolting in ground so it won't rust).

Your Fog lights should now turn on when your parking switch is on .

I'm sure the wiring is there...it will be taped up to the other wiring harness close to the front bumper. You can buy an OEM foglight kit from scottsdale infiniti for a 25% discount. I put the OEM ones on mine and they look great.

I did the "parking light" modification where I used the power wire from the right side parking light so send a power signal to the FOG fuse block...so they come on with the parking lights.

As for having them turn on when the car starts...hmmm that may be a tough one. Youd have to find power from somewhere that could handle the fogs that only comes on when the engine is turning. I believe Jason Young has done it on his car...but I remember him telling me it was a bitch.

If you are using the aftermarket wiring that came with the fogs, yeah, ground it to a bolt on the frame somewhere. About the power wire. I wouldn't just splice the power wire of the fog to the headlight wire because the fogs would directly draw power from the headlight, and might blow a fuse, or cause your headlights to dim some. I'd use a relay and run the power to the battery, and run the "turn on" to the headlight wire. So the fogs draw power directly from the battery, but only turn on with the headlight.

wheres a good place to stick the relay? is it possible to stick it into one of the fuse boxes under the hood that have relays and just wire it to that?

Well, it can go anywhere really, just fing the most convenient place for it and look foa bolt to hold it dowen to. Just make sure that you face the leads DOWNWARD so to prevent any water that may get into the engine bay from getting into the relay and shorting it

how would you attach it to a bolt? drill into the relay? all relays are those little box things with the 4 pins at the bottom right?

yeah, thats what a relay is. But NO! DON'T DRILL INTO IT! All the relays I've seen have a little tab on them with a hole in it to attach to a bolt
