Harmonic Balancer Removal

1999 Ranger 4.0 2WD

I am removing the harmonic balancer.........got the 12mm bolt out, but the thick
1.5" O.D. washer/spacer is stuck in the balancer body. Are there any tricks to getting this thing out or is there a tool to use? I am open to any suggestions right now. :)

I had a Homer Simpson moment............DOH!!!

There is no washer on the harmonic balancer in 1999 4.0L OHV engine. Just looks like one.

Too much rum in the morning coffee.

BTW, anyone wondering about the 4.0L OHV engine timing chain tensioner and guide, I am staring at one, it has absolutely no wear after 103,000 miles.

rent a puller at autozone then take it back wont cost you a penny.
