Ferrari FXX - Custom colour

Hi all

This is my first post in the forum, after browsing in amazement for a very long time.
Ive built a few models recently. Firstly it was the Opel Calibra DTM, Mercedes SLK, Raybrig NSX to name a few when i was younger, but ive since lost them.

Maybe 10years down the line, and my recent models started at the Astra Coupe, then Calibra DTM (again), Mercedes CLK GTR, Mercedes CLK DTM, Escort Cosworth and now the stunning FXX

I also have the Fujimi F355 GTS and Berlinetta on the way from Hiroboy

anyway, heres my progress with the FXX

I ordred some PE parts and also CF and heatshield.

Im no pro, so comments and critism very much welcome

Welcome to AF you long time lurker! Nice progress, one thing that you could've done are the seat belts. Use 2mm ribbon and pe buckles or aftermarket companies seat belt material or surgical tape painted. I only say this because the fxx is so detailed and the doors open, also your adding cf decals. Good luck with the fxx.

yes i wanted to add some seatbelts but couldnt find anywhere that had them in stock.
i have the buckles in my PE set.
I also wanted to add the coolant hoses that skylinefan did on his carbonfibred fxx, but couldnt find them anywhere

Why You use decal seat belt? I see that U have photo-etched from CarzyModel. Decal seat belts looks like.... and have shine like a glass.

I love FXXs, esp in different colours!!! nice colour, cant wait to see more. Q are you painting the parts? Just looking at the seats & airbox look to be in there natural molded black.. Not that it really matters, just asking..

yes mate. as you can probably see, all the engine has been painted, exhausts, brake discs/calipers etc

but your right i havent painted seats and engine airbox.
