My 98 cavalier makes a weird noise when driving at 40 mph and under. Its sounds like my wheel is mishapen (but its not) and each revolution it makes this noise. It continues to make this noise as I am breaking so I don't think my brakes are grabbing.
I am thinking wheel bearing, any thoughts.

Wheel bearings will usually change there noise level depending on which way you steer. if you notice that the noise gets quiter when you steer to the left or right than you may be on the right track with a suspected wheel bearing. If the noise doesn't change try rotating the tires. If the noise moves from the back to front or from the front to back than its a tire issue.
If you think its coming from the front you can also try jacking up the front tires. With the transmision in nuetral spin the front wheels with one hand while holding onto the coil with the other. If you can feel the noise with you hand than that bearing is most likely the one that is bad.
