sun roof wont close please help

i have a 1998 audi a4 1.8t 2wd the other day the sun roof would start to close then it was like somthing was in the way and open back up we finally got it closed and after a while i tryed to open it again and now it wont close at all it trys to and the motor seems to be working, and the head liner seems to be moving down when i try to close it, like somthing is stuck can some one please help me thank you in advance

if its anything like the sunroof in the A8, under the plastic cover around the switch, there is a 'key' that you can use to close the sunroof. You just pop the cover off the switch and there is a tool and a slot to install it and you just manually crank it closed.

on our audi a4 1999 2.8 quattro, we had same problem.
I found somewhere on the net workaround this problem, by opening light switch dome by sunroof and cleaning and bending a bit and after putting all of that back together, everything worked just fine.
Our sunroof was opening/closing on it's own.
Search on google, and you will find the answer for "sunroof syndrom" or such for audi. Common stuff and easy fix. It took me about 20 min.
