Oxygen Sensors

Hi Everyone.
My 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche has the P0060 diagnostic trouble code. HO2S, Heater Resistance (bank 2, sensor 2). Will simply replacing the O2 sensor after the converter on the right side of the vehicle solve the problem? I think I checked the correct fuses on the fuse block under the hood, 15 amp, O2 sensor, not blown. I read some articles on making sure voltage is correct and that there are not any shorts in the wiring. Are the shorts that could be in the wiring harness solely on the 4 wires that go into the O2 sensor itself?
Maybe too many questions. Thanks for the help in advance.

Check for 12v and ground key on engine off, at the the wires at the sensor. In the future post this in the Avalanche forum below.

Thanks for the info. I posted it here because this is more specific as a GM code, not nessessarily specific to the Avalanche model. O2 sensors are on every vehicle, not just Chevrolet Avalanche. I get more viewers in Chevrolet, nonspecfic, than in just Avalanche alone.

For trouble shooting you might swap the #2 sensors from side to side, clear the code and see what happens.
