1995 blazer needs starting fluid to start.

got a good deal on a blazer. iv never worked on a 4.3 with spider injection.

bought it thinking all it needed was a rear end :rofl:

i tried to start it when i first went to look at it and the woman said it was out of gas and thats why it wouldn't start. so i put 3 gallons in it turned the key still wouldn't start. poured some gas into the throttle body and it fired right up and it started when i got it back to my house about 3 hours later.

got it home let it set for a few days tried to start it again and once again it wouldn't start unless i used starting fluid... I'm thinking the people knew about this problem because there was empty plug wire and plug boxes in the back of the blazer after they couldn't get problem to go away they decided to lie about it and sale it to me. :runaround:

i put my fuel tester on the fuel rail and it reads 57 lbs when the key is off it stays on 57 for quite some time it doesn't drop quick or anything. after about 30 minutes it drops to about 43. could my spider injection unit?

after letting set over night i looked at the fuel pressure gauge and it only dropped to about 20. is this good or bad

got that problem fixed now it has no 2nd gear has reverse 1st and 3ed unsure on 4th scared to take it down the highway

Fuel Pump amd filter would be my guess. Just did a pump on my 97 and it was not a claen job. Lots of Rusted crap so beware.

i fixed it put new spider injectors in it and replaced the battery works great now also put a new 2nd and 4th band in it works great now
