P0410 Code

Hello.
I am cursed with this code. From all the reading I have done, it could be the hoses, the pump, or the valves on the air system of the truck, but it isn't critical. I think I am finally fed up enough with it to think about fixing it however...
Has anyone fixed this or know where to start looking? The code comes on at weird times (I then clear it later) and it will come back on, sometimes a week later, sometimes a month. The fuse is good, so it isn't the pump locking up and blowing the fuse, any thoughts?

how about some vehicle details ? how long has this code repeated ? did you remove the valves and inspect them for failure ? if these valves are 6yrs old replace them both . then the pump if the code comes back .
obviously I have no idea what vehicle I'm talking about BUT YOU DO !

Hahaha, what a rookie post.
2001 5.3 Chevy Silverado, 4WD. Code has been intermittent for quite a while, unsure of the exact amount of time, but probably upwards of a year... Not very responsible of me. From everything I read, it wasn't imperative to fix though. I don't know what to look for in the valve, but I do believe I have located both valves. I guess just go grab the part at the store and put new ones and see what happens

since you must have this working to pass inspection replace the valves this may work . if it does not work replace the air pump.
the pump over a period of time fails when these check valves don' t do their job.
most do not have your air pump . this is an added california requirement for this engine. My opinion a waste of money ,,,these vehicles run very clean , no need to add air to the cat converters on cold start.

After taking another look, I am not sure which of the two things this could be under there... Does anyone know what this looks like or how to discern it form the other things in there?
Thanks again for all of the help.

go to the auto part store . tell them you need the air injection check valves . they cost 20.oo ea approx. in your state all auto stores must have a huge demand for these .
with them in your hand these are easy to replace , need two wrenches to remove so as to not damage the piping.
with just the hose removed with engine running the exhaust must not blow out. air into the exhaust good, not exhaust into the air pump bad, as this is how the pump gets destroyed over time.
