have 1993 taurus 3.0l the car was starting fine and came out next day to start and there was nothing.Car will not turn over no clicking only get the
idiot lights on.All accesories work.tested battery 12.9 volts putting out.Cleaned all connections still the same.Replaced the ignition cyclinder as
my old one you could turn it without the key in it.So put the new ingnition cyclinder in and it started fine turned the car off and tried it again same thing as before.did i just get a bad ignition cyclinder or is someelse wrong. Also
replaced the neutral safety switch as this gives the same symptoms as i.am
having but did not help.So is it a bad ignition cyclinder or possible ignition switch. thanks for or help

Could also be a bad ignition switch (not the key cylinder switch) in the ignition column if you are not even getting the click of the starter relay. A wiring diagram and test light or meter will be the only way to diagnose the correct part without shot gunning though.
