love to here your opinion

I am thinking about getting a second car. really just to drive to and from work with. I have never really had somthing that I could dress up. What would be a car that with little modifications could look and sound good? I dont want to spend alot but maybe up to $5000 for the car and probly another $5000 for mods.

What would you look for?
