Packed Payments

This was my firt new vehicle purchase so I didn't know what to expect. I purchased a New 2011 Taurus from Ford. I was told my payment would be $420, but once I was seated with the fiance specialist the monthly payment went up to $570. He told us that all the extra items (gap, maintenance, tire package and warranty) were all included in the price of the vehicle and that was a great deal. Once I got home I looked over my papers and noticed all these extras, that were options, added $4400.00 on my loan and was not free. I was never told these extras were optional I was told they were included in the price of the car. I did go back to the dealer and canceled all the extras, but I still have the high payment.
Is this considered payment packing? If so is Florida one of the states were this is illegal. I hope it is illegal because I will be going back to speak to the owner and will advise them to rewrite the contract.

This really isn't a Taurus question, and not having been there with the finance folks or reading your contract, I'd hope no one on this forum would take sides with either party. The best you can probably do is contact your local attorney general to find out if what you allege they did is legal and let them figure out if laws were broken.

Sorry this wasn't a taurus question, but being new to this I wasn't sure where else to post my question.
For anyone that is interested. I spoke with Florida Financial Regulations and yes this is illegal in Florida!
