2000 Chevy Silverado

Change oil not reset.. how do I reset it.?. I've tried the key and gas pedal thing but must not be doing it right.

Change oil not reset.. how do I reset it.?. I've tried the key and gas pedal thing but must not be doing it right.
Turn key to run with engine off. Fully press and release accelerator pedal three times,within 5 seconds. If the change engine oil messages flashes for five seconds,the system is reset.
