JWT Pop Charger question

How many different models were produced for the G20? Was there only 1 for the p10 and p11? If there are 2 different versions, will the p10 version fit on the p11?

Thanks :bathroom:

As far as I know there isn't a difference between the p10 and the 99 p11 POP chargers but the 2k+ model p11's have a larger MAF so there is a different size connecter that is used for that POP. So a p10 POP should fit a 99 p11 but not a 2k+ p11.

thanks, btw do adapters exist so you can modify an intake that is not made for your engine?

I think you can make one...I went down to a muffler shop for my civic a long time ago. And we measured out the diameters of the piping and stuff. They have a machine that stretches the piping...so you can increase or decrease the diameter of a piping to fit. Worked....so it might work for this. I know a friend of mine went to home depot and made his own air filter adapter....so...anything is worth a try

This won't work. The POP Charger attaches directly to the MAF. Both are make of cast aluminum and cannot be stretched.

You don't have to use JWT's vortex type adapter. You can use a basic intake adapter (Squarish in form and very thin) and you can stretch that out.

You should use the JWT or Stillen set-up if you care about performance. There is a reason they make that adapter, and it's not to be cool. The square type adapters you are talking about suck. The reason JWT has the venturi (and Stillen copied it) is the MAF doesn't like turbulent air flow through the meter. The cheapo adapters without the venturi will do nothing to smooth the air flow and the MAF signal will be buggered. The cheap adapters aren't worth the money they charge for them.

Okay, so Im a newbie....so here it goes. Just a comment on this one because Im going to try something here. I just installed a JWT POP and purchased the Hot Shot CAI, just the first part off of the throttle valve.

Im going to modify the CAI to fit, BUT!!! here is the question.

The MAF on the 99 G20 has a smaller diameter thru hole in it compared to the POP and CAI, Im going to make a new one to match the JWT and CAI, both have a thru hole of just under 3", lucky me, I have machining equipment. It just seems funny that they dont make one that will match these larger thru passages for the air, does anyone know why?

I have yet to blue print this design, but if anyone wants to put in their two cents please do...Im curious if anyone has tried this at all, and if the placement on the sensor is critical.

Id like to just run a regular CAI, but due to the dust factor out here in the desert it just wouldnt make sense.

I ran into a problem with the pop charger. Yes the pop charger holes for the screws are wider then the MAF. Is there a plate that fits this? or did I get the wrong one???? I thought they only made one.
