Post your engine's horse power per cubic inch of engine displacement, if you can include RPM do so. Also include whether the rating is from a stock or modded engine - if modified, state how.
My old Honda (P50) 0.655hp per cubic inch rpm unknown.
My Subaru 360 1.19hp per cubic inch @5500rpm - stock.
Just interested in how efficient others engines are at making power.

So that's 1.3hp per cubic inch.

Or so....

I'm assuming we are talking about Naturally-Aspirated motors only?? :alien2:

I could cheat and throw my old 4G63 turbo engine in....

Same cube size , dynoed at 322 Hp at 5500 rpm....:D :D :D

Natural or forced induction is fin (though in my mind I subtract points for forced induction, or any engine that revs to rediculously high rpms)

Lets see if I have this right:

1989 Honda Accord; A20A1 motor:
displacement 1955 cc = 119.327 cu.in.
'stock' hp = 122 hp @ ?? RPM
122 hp / 119.327 cu.in. = 1.022 hp/cu.in. @ ?? RPM

2001 Toyota ECHO; 2NZ-FE motor:
displacement 1497 cc = 91.372 cu.in.
'stock' hp = 108 hp @ 6,000 RPM
108 hp / 91.372 cu.in. = 1.182 hp/cu.in. @ 6,000 RPM

Seems right to me - keep 'em coming.

The Honda S2000 engine's redline is at 9000 RPM, and you can still go past that too. It really depends on what engine it is. Like the B18B1, anything over 7K is screaming for that engine - And the B18C1 hasn't even made peak HP at 7K yet.

H22A1

Displacement = 2157cc = 132? Cu. In.
190hp @ 6,800

1.439 hp per Cu. In @ 6,800rpm

I have revved a 12A rotary engine (1st gen RX7) to over 10,000 rpm (no rev limiter) did it pretty regularly too , and the engine didn't seem to care..

This is actually my G/F's account. I just moved to LI a month or so ago , from Colorado. I'm in Riverhead , right off of main street.
