i have a 1989 oldsmobile cutlass cierra.
6 cylinder 3.3. the ignition cylinder is shot and it wont start. so i bought a new one and i need to know how to take out the old one.

Get a 10lbs hammer and know it off its mounting.....it's already broke to you don't need it anyhow :p
Why don't you study the one on the engine and how it is mounted, shouldn't be that hard to remedy......
