93 lumina starts idles high shuts off

Have a 93 euro 3.1 had engine code 33 displayed so i replaced map sensor.....car starts smooth high idle for 20-30 secs then shuts off as though someone turned off the engine

Sounds like fuel supply problem. will it stay running if you hold your foot on the throttle? Is it a California or federal model? this sounds like dirty filter sock inside of the fuel tank. Probably need to clean out tank.

Getting ahead of the tank issue here, a fuel pressure test should be done first.
