2005 Astro Smoking multiple A/C Blowers

Morning all.
2005 Astro, 86K miles, 4.3,, cargo. Has been running & working great.
No blower on any speed, A/C cluch working. All fuses and relays checked good, I have 12.5V at the blower plug. Installed new A/C Delco blower ($104), visually checked resistor block on fire wall with no visible melting to harness or damage to pins. Blower was working fine, all speeds, for approx. 5 minutes. Shut down the car, cleaned up, woke up this morning, no blower on all settings, I have 13.92V on low setting, 12.2V on high setting at the plug.

So, what are the chances of getting a defective blower? Should I replace again along with replacing the resistor pack on the firewall since I am there?
Seems to be showing good voltages at different settings. Meter gauge on dash showing about 14V.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Kevin

A poor ground for the blower motor can burn up the motor AND the resistor. Disconnect the connector at the blower, measure resistance to ground on the black wire... must be less than 5 ohms. Did you remove the resistor pack and visually inspect it? Sometimes you can see burn marks on the printed circuit board.
