My friend gave me a c5r last two weeks.
http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/386425c5r1.jpg
I found the picture like this, and say " I WANT DO THAT!"
http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/161441c5r2.jpg
So i cut the body last week, before i cut the body, I build the doorsill first. because if I cut the body first, the top will apart. if i want to paste that with doorsill, that is impassable.
http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/475497c5r3.jpg
i cut 3 holes on the engine cover.
http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/245459c5r4.jpg
i use the pop-top to make blades.
http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/518548c5r5.jpg
i use musion collection carbon decal. it is better than original decal.
http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/424923c5r6.jpg
that is what i do so far!
http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/616362c5r7.jpg
I will post more progree pictures, when i build more about this c5r.
Can any body mail me more detail pictures about c5r? i need more front engine and rear fuel cell detail. thanks a lot!LIMITED 24 ([email protected])

Great model!!!
Here are some pics of the car that I have found. Corvette C5-R (http://www.dotphoto.com/go.asp?l=Profesorn&AID=768960)
Some of the pics have been resized so if you want them in a bigger version tell me and I can see if I got it.

The way the kit should've come from the factory (though at $12 who's complaining ;) )
It's a luscious build. Keep at it.

Well...After the race me, my dad, and a friend went over to the Corvette trailers because Johnny O'Connell told us that they were giving some stuff away at the trailers. When we get there, there are a couple of drivers hanging out and a few people here and there. As were standing there I notice this windshield laying on the back fense next to some trash. After asking a few people about it, we came to Rick. We asked if they were throwing it out since it looked cracked. He said just take it and if anybody said anything that Rick told us to take it. It ended up not being cracked at all, but it was just a rubber mark from the rollcage. It unfortunately did get cracked on the way home, but it's obvously still in one piece. I can't wait for Sebring 2004 and Le Mans isn't even here yet.
Oh, by the way, the vette your working on is coming out great. I can't wait to get my hand on one of those kits.

This part is my first time to paint in finished body. How to say that! If I finish the pant job first, then compose this part. It must has a crevice over there. So I have to paint the chassis first. Compose the part on chassis. And do some putty. Then paint wite Mr. surfacer, yellow, paste decals, clear paint, sandpaper, compound. finally, I finish this part. Oh No! I did not paint the lights. hahaha!!!!! I love this model more and more! I plan to finish this modify model job after 3 weeks later.

WOW!
This certainly motivated me to continue building my C5R, I removed the front coil but I've stopped after that.
But the sad thing is that after so much work, this kit will end up looking slightly better than your average Tamiya kit.
But it's the only C5R available and it's a great car for my Le Mans collection.
