SLAM AIR Induction

JMS Products Inc. Slam Air Induction can be installed on virtually every type and make of vehicle for proven performance gains coupled with a 20-30% increase in gas mileage. JMS Products Inc. Slam Air Induction is designed for use on many naturally aspirated applications and is designed to be used on Supercharged and Turbo cars. The purpose of using Slam Air Induction on cars with traditional forced induction is to increase overall efficiency and to reduce lag commonly experienced on Centrifugal Superchargers and Turbos. Roots Blowers will operate with even greater efficiency and produce higher end torque. Further developments will continue as we test 1HP motors. Coming soon are ultra high power units with custom inverters with specially designed blowers that will produce 6-8PSI. 6-8PSI on an electrically driven system will rival belt driven blowers making 8-10PSI since electrically driven units do not take HP to make HP.

Following are 3-29-03 Dyno testing results without tuning of air/fuel with the 7.5 amp AC motors. We will be upgrading to 12 amp AC motors with a more aggressive impeller and an in house developed blower housing that will provide a 35-50% gain in output. We will be also conducting track testing as dyno results only show power gains on paper and do not account for the overall increase in performance and Fuel economy that one will experience. We will also be testing this system with direct Nitrous into the primary blower as we believe the blowers will deliver optimal atomization of the Nitrous coupled with forced induction to deliver a 25% increase in power without increasing cylinder pressure vs just using a larger shot of nitrous to make power.

92 5.0LX GT 40 heads, Cobra upper/lower, shorty headers, bassani X, 70mm Throttle body, K&N filter in stock air box, E303 cam, ProM MAF.
gain of 10RWHP and 16Ftlbs RWTQ without tune (Run 1 was 3rd gear pull, Run 2 was 4th gear and Run 3 was with the Slam Air Induction. With a tune we are expecting a solid 10 RWHP and 16 Ftlbs RWTQ across the entire RPM band.
SLAM AIR makes almost 20 HP and 20 Ftlbs TQ at the wheels on a Turbo car maxxed out running 15PSI. Why? Quicker spooling and increased overall efficiency..
Red: Turbo only

Blue: bridged Slam Air before Turbo

95 Acura Integra Turbo forged internals, full exhaust running 15 PSI boost, open cone filter.

gain of 16WHP and 16Ftlbs WTQ without tune. Notice the Slam Air reducing turbo lag and optimizing efficiency of the turbo at full boost. We were pleased to see the unexpected power gain at full boost and were very pleased to see the significant decrease in lag coupled with increased HP and TQ throughout the entire RPM band.

With the upgraded blowers we are expecting a solid gain of 24 WHP and 24 Ftlbs WTQ and an even greater reduction in turbo lag.

This system is designed for the ultimate reliability and with the features of the Cobra Inverter, your electrical system will not even know it is running. In addition to the Cobra Inverters many benefits, it also acts as a gatekeeper in that current is monitored and controlled. Unlike direct 12 Volt units, this system will allow greater output and any load on the motors due to back pressure will not cause a current surge on your electrical system.

Applications to be tested: N/A and Turbo 4,6,8 Cyl., Roots/Centrifugal Supercharged 8Cyl, 4.6 N/A, 4.6 Nitrous, Worked N/A 4.6 (GT/Cobra), 5.0 N/A, 5.0 Nitrous, Worked 5.0 N/A, 347 Stroker N/A, supercharged 347 Stroker, 347 Stroker Nitrous, V10 Viper, Worked V10 Viper N/A, V10 Viper Nitrous, LT1 N/A, LS1 N/A, LS1 Nitrous, Worked LS1 N/A, LS4 N/A, LS4 Nitrous, Worked LS4 N/A......

I thought about being the first but I wanted to see if someone else here has already either heard about it or did it to their car first.

I'll admit it does sound interesting and the dyno results are pretty accurate plus it comes from a good website source.

Who knows maybe I'll decide to try it later on after I see more results or someone starts to bragg about what it has done for their car.

For what year Max is it? You think it will work on the 04 Max or the G35?

According to the info I posted it was tested on an 03 Max but that doesn't mean that is the only year that they offer it for on our Maxs.

Go to their website and see if you can find a contact to e-mail and ask about if they offer it to other years in the Max line up and let us know.
