Hey guys,
I fixed a leak in my AC system and now want to pull a vacuum and make sure it will hold. A friend of mine lent me a vacuum pump, however, my R134A gauge set service hose has a larger fitting than what is on the pump. My friend said it was an old commercial pump. Does anyone know what sizes I may need for adapters to get the R134A hoses on? Aren't the 134A fittings larger than the R12 fittings of yore? I haven't been able to find anything that adapt from R134a to R12, but many items that will adapt from R12 to R134a. Any advice is appreciated.
thanks,
matt

Not sure how the fitting is attached to your pump but you can get the right fittings in a R134a fitting conversion kit for cars/trucks. Just unscrew the old style and screw in the new one...$10 at any auto store, Walmart, etc.
