Well, I'm not going to say I doubt you.
But if it truely was brand new, I wouldnt think he'd be pushing it quite yet... with the whole breaking in of the motor. But ya never know people are stupid.
I see you're running an 11.4... Mind if I ask what you've done to your car to get that quick?

btw...by brand new i didnt mean right off the lot lol. i just meant it was the newest z06. i ran him on about 1.5 bar. so thats probably a low 12 hi 11 sec pass on my car (i ran the 11.4 a few months ago running a little rich at 1.7bar)

i'm amazed at your 60' times...
for a big horse fwd motor, you're gettin some sick numbers

very very sweet...an ur rite fly, those are some LOW numbers for a FWD car...
j/w was that 11.4 on slicks? wut all have u done to ur suspension to get that type of power to actually go down to the track? NOT doubting u at all, so don't take it that way, im jus curious is all.
i need to get a video of a crx at pacific raceways' that's runnin 10.5 passes all day...its a beast.

yep i ran that time with a freind of mines wrinkle walls(before the tires i ran consistant low 12's on drag radials but couldnt catch traction because of the track conditions early in the day and the stupid fucks in pickup trucks(hey that ryhmes) that hit the burnout box and got sideways warming up street tires!!(which serves no purpose except making noise and glazing your tire over...assholes) . i also have a quaife, and traction bars but i didnt notice that big of a difference honestly. at the time i ran the 11 i had'nt finished tuning the car . now its is completely tuned and im running almost 2 bar at the track (on race gas of course) the next time at the track however, i should be running mid 10's on slix with my reworked b16 head. (should be dyno'ing 500 ish hp to the wheels)

nice...the guy who runs down at the track near me has a VERY similar set-up, cept he went full out b18c1, an is pushing AROUND 520 hp to the wheels. so those 10 second passes aren't far outta ur reach at all. u have ur full interior still? cuz this guy had his car full dragg'd out inluding his windows etc...

At the local track we say the same thing about front wheel drive rice. Draging their rear wheels through the water and drippping it all over the launch pad....

"11.4@ 115mph"
I'd just like to know why his Trap speed is so slow in comparison to his ET... 115mph is like a mid 12 second pass. You'd think he'd be at about 122-127mph with an 11.4...
Just something to ponder about. :)

thas tru...but a crx that ran against me ran a 12.5 @ 111...so its not that far off. i took off .5 seconds w/ only 1mph higher for my trap speed.
an svt im not calling u slow, im simply saying that ur point of view on this one is simply ignorant an pointless. if u hate imports so much, then stay off the boards.

Yeah, exactly... 111mph is a mid 12 second pass... 4mph faster wouldnt get you a full second faster though.
Just something I find curious... random things happen at the track.. just this one seems a bit too random.

I have to agree with that trap time for those numbers. Just doesnt seem to add up. Could you imagine like someone saying I have a 10 second car and the trap time is only 117?!?!?!??!?! WTF? Why does this guys CRX trap time smell like doo doo? Perhaps the maaaaaaaddddd tyyyyyyy4te Naaaaaaaawwwwssss actually helps stop time for a few milliseconds letting it clear the track but still staying within "average" speed for the fastestest furious's Maaadd TY4te Crx on this side of the Hemisphere yo yo yo. wurd to ya mother.
Lmao
I still say gotta love them 8 cyclnders at the track yo - I love Import cars tho - great on economy heh heh

trap speed is off because my 3rd and 4rth gear synchros were gone after the first 5 passes that day. your absolutly right tho. i ran a 12.4@114 right before the 11.4 on drag radials not fucking up anyshifts. thats just what happens when you grind up gears on a stock 91cable ls tranny at the track. somethin always gets broke.

Your confusing Stephan Papadakis with Adam Saruwatari.
Adam runs the low 7-second NSX motor in a drag NSX, which is MR (mid-engine, RWD).
Stephan runs a low eight, high sevens FWD Civic with a built H22.

actually, the base s prelude used an f22, same as the accord, so they could conceivably use similar trannies for different engines...
it's really not that different...
that's like putting a b16 trans on your b20z/vtec setup...
not that odd

You were doing sooo well up until this post. Don't post anything like this again. I won't nuke it this time so you and others may know what NOT to do.
BTW, Honda F trannies will NOT fit H engines, and vice-versa. Same with D and B engines.
Lastly, the Euro Accord Rs came with the H20 motor. Less displacement, but higher-revving, with an output of about 220HP.

settle down, I didnt ssy it didnt, I said if you lied about one rthing, proibably would lie about another, and when you dsaid an accord tranny, I thought that no acords came with H series stock, cuz I read that a accord SIR had a F20B but just checked whee I read it and it said 97+.
sory, but the tranny on a accord R couldnt be a POS, unless you mean it was broke and not about the design itself.

Can you get a source on that for me carrrnuttt, I was looking for it the other day, but to no avail. I'd like to read up on it.

I dunno. I might be proven a liar here, but I searched the web for info about the motor I am speaking of, and I could not find anything.
The only thing I found was about the f20b, which is in the JDM Accord SiR-T. You can look at pics of it here (http://www.ksfactory.org/tokusyu/ac_F20B_1.htm).
Anyhow, I said what I said because my buddy who owns a shop here locally, who is a JDM parts supplier and has done dozens of swaps in the past year alone, told me that he has seen an h20, and could get one from Japan if a customer asked him for one. He says it costs a bit more than getting a JDM Type R motor. I could ask him for details if you want me to.

Yea, you should ask him about it. I have never heard, seen, or dreamt about an H20 motor. I'll call our local jap engine shop and see if they know too..

Just something to ponder about. :)
My Camaro ran an 11.45@126 with no traction for 150', and my 3200 pound Camaro has 520hp/490ft.lbs. How come you only hit 115 with that light-weight CRX?

SR20D's and SR20V's are similar, except the V series have variable cam technology...like the difference between a b18a/b and a b18c.
Also, the only way an F tranny can fit an H motor is with a custom job...but why would you pay extra for that?

i think i explained why the trap speed is fucked up....
i could run a 12 flat at 85 if i wanted. all ide have to do is slam on the brakes right before the traps
