My 87 integra LS has a rev limitor at 4 1/2, which is impossile to race with, is there any way to get the rev limitor off? like maybe a fuse or something? I was thinking it was in the ecu but I cant find any info on it. thanks for your help people!:help:

there is something wrong with your motor, it shouldnt be hitting the rev limit at that rpm, check to see if your throwing any codes.

well when it hits then the "PGM-FI" light comes on for a second and then goes off. I just changed the distributor, could it have something to do with that? I just dropped this motor in it so I dont know how it was before. how will I know if it is throwing codes? where will I see them? anyways.....thanks

i think you gotta get a jumper thing that you plug in a spot, turn on the key and watch how many times the engine light blinks, and thats the code, some have combos of leds on the ECU and some are only one led blinking on ecu.

87 integra has a light on the ECU. your ECU is located underneath your passenger seat. If the "check engine" light comes on, check for a blinking red light on your ECU which will tell you what code it is.

the first time I got 2 and the second time I got 4 and now it blinks for as long as I hold it at the limitor, if I hold it for like 5 seconds then it will blink like 5 or 6 times. I think I am just going to take it to honda cause when it comes to the ecu I dont know shit! Thanks for your help guys. oh yeah, and does anyone know about how much honda will charge me?

minimum 70 bucks jus to read the damned ecu. :(
i say find a frien who knos a little about honda's an have him read it. ur car could be throwing more then one code, cuz if so, it'll pause inbetween each code an u gotta read them. after this, go online, a read wut each code means, an ur set. trust me...honda will rip u off...

Alright, I FINALLY figured it out, and it is throwing a code 10.....which is the TA sensor (intake temp. sensor) I know where it is at, but I dont have a clue as what to do....I am in the process of trying to find stuff on the web though. Thanks for everyone who has helped me....(even though I was dumb)....LOL

just replace the sensor, see if that fixs it, make sure you reset the ecu after you do it tho, or the code will still be there.

look at your intake hose. there is a tube that comes out of it. that tube connects to something...that is the intake temp sensor.
