Hey I have a question
whats the top speed for a non-V-tec 4 cylinder Accord I think it's around a 1998-99 the guy that owns it has to be bullshittin' me he says he has had it up over 220-230km/h, I called him on it and he still say's I'm wrong so what is it?
He lying or am I wrong?
I know the car must be limited it should top out by atleast 180 by my guess.

Yeah - I would think 130ish would be about as fast as that engine could move the car. Even then, the play in the spedometer could give you the illusion that you are going faster then you are.

I had my 98 4cyl VTEC accord sedan with the 5-speed going an indicated 138 mph at about 5500 RPM in 5th gear. When the needle hit 138, the car hit some kind of rev limiter which brought my speed down to about 125 and then I got control of the gas back. Hope this helps.

Yea most cars have a speed limit set by the Country or something and is limited to like 110 or less or something like that. Thats why most people change out their ECUs and crap like that. Dont forget that some people have tires that cant handle like 100 mph and above. make sure u get the correct tire ratings. Not too sure on what the tire ratings are but if u got over the tire rating speed ur tire could blow out.

220 km/hr = 136.7 mph.
The top speed I hit with my F22B 4-cyl VTEC in my 94 Accord EX was 115 mph or about 186 km/hr. That was with all the exhaust problems I was having, so that may have contributed to it (it certainly contributed to poor gas mileage).
Pretty much the only modification I had with my car at the time was the AEM short ram intake. So if he has added things to his car, than it may be possible that he hit 220 km/hr. If it is bone-stock, than chances are, he's full of it.
Oh, it may also depend on whether he has a Coupe or a Sedan, and if he has removed anything to reduce the weight (i.e. rear seats, spare tire, etc).

so far best is 195km/hr or 122 mph with a 4th generation exr, I need a long road or salt flat with no worry of cops or traffic, hate to lose licence. I think it'll break the 200 but not sure if it'll do much more.

my 90 accord ex hit 128 a few times on a strech of the pa turnpike but it always took forever to get up there. It seemed to bog after about 110 or 115, and then would creep up ever so slowly as long as you didn't run out of road.

94 non-Vtec.. 116.. then the speed limiter kicks in.. swaped to vtec.. and tops out over 120.. havent found the road.. prolli about 125...
Most cars have speed limiter because the manufacturor is to cheap to up higher the "h" rated tires on them.. most limiters are set at 110 ta 130 ( the Tsi tops out about 160.. limited to 130 tho )

Bone stock, I hit 192 km/h in 5th gear (hit the rev limiter) and it was still going strong.... I bet I could've gone at least 210-215 km/h stock, so maybe 130 mph without a cut-off
