Why they stop making ricer tail lights?

Why the hell did hey stop making clear tails for the 4 doors :(

They're hella illegal. You'll get pulled over all the time, thats part of the reason, considerin APC made most of em.

Im not talkin bout tezzas... im talking about the regular clears.

Yeah i know, tezzas get pulled over a lot less tho. Cuz they at least have red lenses and stuff, so it usually at least looks half way legal, most cops dont care about tezzas long as you have colored bulbs in the parts that are clear, however clear are all....well clear so its a lot more noticeable. And apc made clears too right? I thought they made basically all the aftermarket tail light crap.

You asked why they stopped makin em, I'm tellin u its because they're illegal and outdated, maybe if u call up a tail lightin company and tell em to specially make u a set of clears so u can paint em, they'll do it :rolleyes: , otherwise quit pms'in :D

Custom make me a set? Its not worth $10,000 - ill just have to run someone off the road that has em, and steal them off his car once it goes to the junkyard :bandit:

Because maybe ppl in 92+ forum are morons who dont reply. Or maybe because this was a general question that any group could answer, so u chose the af gods....unfortuantley u only got their redneck second cuzin (me) to reply. At least i tried tho, should get some props for that.

I got a set for 88-91 hatchbacks. I got them off of Ebay, used, from some guy in Canada. I had them on my white 91 hatch, and they looked badass! The guy I bought them from threw in a set of LED taillight bulbs. I got them now just setting in my room. Maybe I will put them on one day... or just sell them. If anyone wants them let me know. :)

the reason clear taillights are illegal is because they dont reflect red. If you havent noticed, Altezzas usually have the center piece with reflectors and reflectors on the lens themselves. Pure white lights are reserved for forward motion, this is why reverse lights are white. white light means somebody is coming towards you, red means the back of the car.

i was looking for ages for a set of clears, they ARE legal in the UK as long as u put red relfectors on the rear of the car somewhere, but in the end i settled for altezza's

Are the clear tail lights illegal in all the states? I thought it was a state controlled rule.:confused:

im pretty sure all clears have been officially banned from on-road use.
