58' impala

Terv.

An AMT kit, will be stock. Not 100% shure yet, but most probably it'll be white with red interior and very few custom mods.
So far i've sanded down some mold lines and bended some wire. Also the rear axle is made about 1,5mm wider from each side. Made new springs(?), shock absorbers(?) still need to be done. I'm building it to take part in a local modelbuilding contest in an estonian forum, so hopefully it'll be fisnished by the end of october.

Now i'll have to wait a while for the alclad chrome and body paint to arrive.

Can I ask what was the greenish stuff on the seats in the first interior picture? Glue?

nice details, did you happen to order the alclad in aerosol? i did, but im still waiting for it to come in.

The green thing was a liquid mask. You aply it with a brush and when it dries it'll be like rubber and you can just pull it off like tape.
I ordered regulad alclad II Chrome in a bottle.

wheels are finished.

The guy i bought the kit from, had built the engine in custom version, i wanted stock. First i scratched new fan belt pullies??? and made a "leg" for generator. The pullies are still missing some nuts an bolts.

Also made new wall in front of the radiator. Original one was rubbish and had a molded in radiator, that looked like crap. New radiator is already under construction.
