I have this small problem with my jaw, I've asked many people but no-one had the answer to my problem. The two joints on my jaw crack every once-in-awhile. Like when you leave your fingers alone for a while then you can crack them... same with my jaw joints. It's been happening for 6 or 7 years now. I did'nt think it was anything serious but latley it's been cracking like I've been sleeping for 1,000 and I just woke up or something. I quit boxing because of this too. I was afraid I would get my jaw dislocated and get my jaw wired shut. Anybody know what will happen after a couple of more years?
I could'ev asked my docter but I don't trust many docters because some of them will prescribe you some pills that you don't need just to get money or they'll tell you to come back in a week when you don't really need to... just so they get money. I'm not saying all docters are like that, just some of them.
Anybody have the answers to my little problem?? :(

Try a chiropractor. Yes, it's alternative medicine, but you'd be amazed at what a GOOD chiropractor can accomplish. I have TMJ, and it was VERY bad when I first started seeing my chiropractor. TMJ is basically a cracking of the jaw joint. Mine happens to have been caused by the Atlas (top vertical bone) rotating and keeping my jaw out of alignment. After some fairly aggressive chiropractic treatments at first, I now am down to only having visits once every 6+ weeks and the TMJ is pretty much gone. Within just a few months I was in MUCH better shape.
Okay, so it sounds hoaky, but I went to another chiropractor before, and he really just made the jaw worse. Find one that you feel comfortable with, and that wants to spend time with you as a person, and not just your insurance card. Good luck.

That's great advice. I've never gone to a doctor for broken bones, only the chiro, I as well with you, dont trust doctors very well because they lie, not all, but most.

Thanks. :)
It does'nt really hurt, acctually it feels pretty good but I think it might get really bad after a while.
Is 'TMJ' a rare thing? I hav'nt met anyone else besides you who has this problem, if that's what you wanna call it.
My neck cracks like a hard taco, is that bad??? My ankle cracks too, and my knee(hurts like hell), back, neck, jaw, hands, and some joint by the pelvis bone.
I'm afraid my bones will get very weak as I grow older. I'm 17 now and I don't wanna be as fragile as an egg shell when I grow up.
Off topic: You know you can't break an egg if the bottom of the egg is on your lower palm, and the top of the egg is on your finger tips... and you squeeze (more your finger tips closer to your lower palm) the egg it won't break. Try it.
