driver side power window won't go up

I'm having a problem on my 1999 grand voyager. The driver side power window will roll down all day long just fine, but when you go raise it back up, it will go about an inch or so, then you have to wait 10-15 minutes and it will go up another inch or so, etc., etc. I have never once had a problem with it going down, only when it goes up. I had the door trim off and all appears fine. Has anyone ever seen this issue or have any ideas. Thanks.

Yes, I've read about it many times. The window motor will draw more amps to raise the window than to lower window just due to the weight of the window. The repeated motion wears the motor brushes. After a while the brushes wear and can't transfer power as effectively. You'll need to change the window regulator assembly. Can be had for as little as $50.

AutoZone and Advance sell the whole shootin' match for $89.99 and says "Dorman window regulators are direct replacements and are re-designed to improve known failure points."
