'91 regal wont start

My '91 Regal Custom-3.1 MPFI died and refuses to run. I can get it started sometimes but once you hit the gas it stalls out. Getting plenty of fuel and not getting any SES codes. Seems like it only gets spark every once in awhile also. Not sure where to start besides maybe the coil pack but dont want to put alot of money into a work car. Any suggestions would help.
