Thunderbird and weird noise

1996 LX with a 03 Explorer 4.6 pi aluminum block engine.. 4R70W With a mild J-mod....

Ok so I installed a new tranny cooler and filter and all new Merc V..Drove it for a few miles and the tranny fluid smelled funny like burnt clutches..The car still shifts perfect no shudder or anything..Till last Sun it started stalling when shifting out if park so I replaced the IAC and it still dies..Also now it has a weird hum coming from under the car by the TC..I drive the car and the hum goes away as long as I am on the gas but if I let off it comes back but then sometimes it is not there at all..

Anyone with any thoughts??Car still shifts fine but it does die when I coast or come to a stop..

Can a bad TC cause the engine to stall??
