O2 sensors wireing

hi, This sounds funny, but it happened.Dogs got under truck after a cat who climbed up on top of tranny. While trying to get to cat the dogs chewed the wiring to all three o2 sensors. Check engine came on so I went under to explore and found the mess. Wires were color coded so I went to splicing.everything looked correct and no codes came back, so I figured all was well. Untill today when we went to get it inspected and was told he couldn't get a line...All three plugs have power on the same terminal yet unpluging the two sensors on passanger side won't set a code or set off the SEL light.Unpluging the sensor on the drivers side set all kinds of codes including several related to transmission ...Pluged it back and cleared codes and all was well again.Just cant set any codes unpluging the two sensors on the pasanger side...There was two sets of like colored wires that I swaped thinking they might be crossed, but it didn't help. any ideas? This is a 1999 exployer with a 4.0. automatic 2 wheel drive...Check engine light comes on when switch is on, and goes out when engine is started...Haynes manual shows four o2 sensors, but i only saw three. They were all near transmission,one on drivers side and the other two on other side of tranny. Any help would be appreciated!

That is a funny story to read about, but not to be the victim of. Sorry for you.

I can provide you with the factory wiring diagram for the 1998 and 2000 model years. I can also compare the two to see if they are different. If they are the same, it might be safe to assume your 1999 is also the same.
