Hello all,
I searched for this topic in the forums but to no avail...
I recently had new door speakers and a new stereo installed into my 95 GCL. The system I had prior caused smoke to come out of the steering column and it fried my speakers...or at least I think it did b/c my speakers sounded faint and crackeled afterwards..
So after installing the new speakers and stereo, no sound at all. The stereo is powered and turns on fine and the speakers are wired correctly. Did I fry the wiring maybe? Is there an easy fix to this? My friend told me to purchase an amp and he can wire the speakers directly to them. Would this work? Is there something else we overlooked?
Thank you all in advance!

theres an amplifier in some of the limiteds under the drivers side rear seat youll probably find that its blown up and youll have to try and find a replacement at the wrecking yard
