wrangle auto wont go into gear

my son got his 01 wrangler stuck in the mud.he got it out and made it home.the next morning he tried to move it and it wouldn go into gear it moved a couple of feet then stopped.it has a 110,000 miles on it.he's only had it about a month or so.its an automatic 4cyl.any help would be appreciated.thank you very much.

He could have water in the transmission. At the VERY least, drop the pan and refill with fresh fluid; but I'd suggest a full transmission flush.
