v6 3.0 engine.
Engine started idling erratic. Then it started idling erratic with slight valve noise. Next thing the tail pipe smelled heavily with raw gas. I let the engine sit for a bit. Then I removed the EGR valve and gas came pouring out of it. I started the van with the Injector wire harness unplugged and it started right up and ran smoother then with the harness connected.
I checked the Timing belt and the markings align perfectly. But before I started getting into this I was hoping someone might have some ideas before I pursue further.
Any Ideas are really appreciated.

How about a stuck open injector.
