Fuel Injector , Missing spring clip

I've been replacing my engine with another and so far so good. For the most part, I've labeled everything and took lots of pictures while I was unbolting everything. At least I did at the beginning. But every electrical plug was labeled and the mate on the old engine as well. So when I pulled the old engine, it is next to me with all my reference numbers. Helped alot.
Now a problem, maybe. I pulled the injectors and labeled them. Took each one out and bagged it separately. While installing them into the replacement engine, I found I was missing one clip for the injector? Must have dropped out because it's not in the bag. I had another engine given to me when I bought the car and it has the injectors. So I pulled the injector and...... Its missing all the little spring clips. So Im thinking, maybe don't need it? I need 1 !
See the picture. I think with the stamped metal clip and that its pressed into the chamber and the fuel rail is bolted to the block, probably can get away with one injector missing the added spring. Those things were a bear to remove and easily lost. So maybe a common situation?
I am going to check if I can I buy thse clips separate at the dealer? Anyone?

FYI: Apparently, Chevy got rid of this metal wire spring. Because the dealer does not have it listed in their manual. And the fuel rail I took off another motor did not have it either. I don't think it was needed because if its wedged between the rail and the head, there is no way for it to come out. Probably more damage done putting this *%& clip back in.
++++++++++++++++
UPDATE:
I have to be the biggest dumby. That spring clip did not go to the injectors 'directly". It went to the connector. My memory fails me badly. I had all of the injectors set in their separate bags when I took them out. Marked everything etc..... When I went to reassemble it and went to put on the last electrical connector. That's where I found where the spring clip goes. I was so careful to bag and mark everything, that I threw all the clips in the bag too. At the last connector, I figured out how easy to remove the connector. I took off the spring from all of them except for the last one where I left it on the connector.
