I am new to the Panoz Lifestyle. I recently purchased a Penske Panoz from Hayes at wirewheel and had a chance to get on track a couple of weeks ago. Coming from a Miata I now know what it is like to run a car that can handle and has power. I am hooked. I have one of the Marlboro Hot Lap cars with the LS1 drivetrain. The car was delivered in just about race ready condition. Changed the fluid and torqued all the bolts and I was ready to go. I highly recommend Hayes at Wirewheel, he was great to deal with. I am a member of a race group called 3Balls Racing out of the Detroit area. If anyone is in the midwest, we run at Gingerman, Grattan, Mid Ohio, Waterford and once a year take a ten hour trek to Calabogie Motorsports Park near Ottawa Canada. We are a laid back group who focus on teaching newer participants to be better drivers and to just have fun. If anyone is interested in joining us for a track day, please check our schedule at www.3ballsracing.com. I have the only Panoz and would love to see some more out with us. I look forward to meeting some of you in the future.

Welcome to the Panoz fold Kenny. Love the 3 Balls Racing moniker!! That would sure look good in a race programme.
If you get a hankering to travel longer than 10 hours to race, drag your car out to New Zealand and come join me over here! I have the only Panoz (that I know of) racing in NZ and am having a whole lot of fun with it.
Enjoy!!
Kel.

Welcome to the forum and the fold. You'll find everyone here very helpful, and some sush as Kel extremely kowledgable in the world of racing these cars. Lots of great information burried in this forum. Search it often to find the nuggets.

I took my new Panoz out to Calabogie Motorsports near Ottawa Canada this past weekend and really put the car through the ringer. The car performed flawlessly all weekend. The track is a 3.05 mile course with 20 turns and two high speed straights. The only car that passed me the entire weekend was a WC prepped Corvette with a Katech engine and a sequential gearbox. There was 6-8 Z06 Corvettes and some heavily prepared Mustang Cobra's also. Coming from a Miata, this was quite a new experience for me and I must say i really enjoyed myself. The car is better than I ever anticipated and I look forward to becoming a better driver in my Panoz.

Kenny,
Great stuff. If anyone can sort out a car it is the Penski crew. The photos showed the level of prep. Keep us posted on your other adventures.
