1999 Jimmy IACV Where ?

I can't find my Idle air control valve , it's not where the Haynes manual is pointing to ! 1999 Jimmy V6 4.3 , where the heck is it ?

Driver side of the throttle body, just rear of the throttle position sensor. Get rid of the Haynes/Chilton manual, they're useless for anything more than an oil change.

Good plan! You can get a GM factory "dealer issue" shop manual online from the GM website. Over 3,000 pages covering one model year, but it covers EVERYTHING. Prices vary year to year but they really aren't all that expensive considering what you get. Compared to 200 pages covering several years in the Haynes/Chilton, it's well worth it if you're going to be doing your own repairs.

Did you find the IAC? What problems are you having with it?

Not yet , I don't want to pull it until i have the funds for a new belt,the air valve,plugs and air filter (K&N)...then i can dive on in and get real greasy . OOps, radiator cap also...bought someone elses problems
