97 F-150 4X4 problem

Ok I had it in 4 low and parked it overnight. The next day the battery went bad and would not start had to replace the battery. When I restarted it was stuck in low range but the indicator lights weren't on. I have replaced the shifter motor and the switch on the dash still doesn't work. I unhooked the battery and reattached it and the 4X4 light came on but not the low range indicator. I ran it on a code reader and no codes are coming up. Also I don't know if its related or not but the service airbag light came on at the same time this problem started.
