'02 Taurus orifice tube

Working on this '02 Taurus 3.0L w/o DOHC. If I need to replace the orifice tube, first where is it located? Second, does it simply come out with an orifice removal tool? I've used one of them before, but in looking at parts for the job, I also see orifice tube repair tool that looks as if you have to cut into the tube and then install a new section w/ the tube. Can anyone offer insight?
