EFI to Carb swap

:banghead:I have an '87 GMC with the 305. I want to put a carb and intake in place of the EFI, which is irritating me to no end. Swapped out Map sensor, TPS (and adjusted same), IAC valve, rebuilt the throttle body, all to no avail.
Starts and revs in Park just fine, so I'm loath to blame the ignition. I think it's a fuel issue.
Will a standard Chevy intake bolt to this motor? I've heard tell that the center bolts are at a different angle, and I can't convince myself that they arent, staring at them.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

should be lots of aftermaket intakes for a 87 small block. just rember you cant use the stock fuel pump on a carb . will have to pull the fuse for stock pump and install a inline electric pump thats only pushing 15 to 25 psi

Wouldn't a regulater cure that?
Of course, there's always the problem of running the return line back to the tank.
Has anyone here got a solution?
I imagine that the ends could be chopped off the stock lines and then plumbed accordingly with high pressure rubber, but that sounds cheesey even to me.

My curiosity about the regular intakes is because I have one already.

Thanks for the reply.
