Handmade T Bucket

Started this project at the beginning of july, heres my progress so far.Hope you like.

Great metalwork. How big is that thing?
Those look like RC or slotcar foams but i can't tell which.

Very interesting project, could you add some information on materials and the process you go thru to make all your parts? Looking forward to an update.

Firstly the model is 330mm long 220mm wide and yes they are rc wheels. To start with i was a spraypainter/pealbeater for 25 years so it helps with making the model. I had previously made a couple of rods out of timber one that is still wip is my black 32 ford most of it done just need to save $400 bucks for the chrome paint to paint the motor and rims to finish it. The other projects ive still got to finish are a couple of custom choppers im building out of metal.
All the parts used for the rod have been out of scrap i have, all the sheet metal was old computer cases i was going to throw out,the engine block is steel tube 20x20 30x20,the front rails 40x10 cut down to 10x10. I used 10mm rod for the rear axle and 8mm for the front, the radiator grill is crimesafe sercurity mesh. The disc and the ford logo i drew up in cad program and cut them out on waterjet at work.Once i finished fabing the rod i will take to work and sandblast the whole thing before putting a 2 pack etch primer on it.Hope this fills in the gaps a bit if not dont hesitate to ask.

just a update got the headlights done and mounted , the dash board done and a dizzy made and mounted in front of engine.

Been busy at work last couple weeks,so havent had time to do much. On sunday i did abit of detail work on motor. Also fitted brass hubcaps and started replacing all chrome screws with brass ones. In another week ill be taking it to a hot rod show to see what sort of response i get from the rodders themself.

Got the rear brake line bent up and mounted and the rest of the spark plug leads done, then today i got the pedals made out of brass and fixed.

Ok got the models stripped down for finally grinding and preping. Took parts to work and got them sandblasted on friday and applied the epoxy primer today in a spraybooth i built to keep the overspray down in the shed.

Started sculpturing the body and parts. Over the last couple weeks while the etchs been drying ive been playing in cad program with a few designs so heres a few pics.
