Bypass

Hi everyone, I'm new here and I've been doing a lot of reading about a problem I'm having with a 1995 Bonneville. Sometimes the car starts fine and sometimes it doesn't. I want to try the resistor bypass for the ignition switch. How do I identify which wires the resistor should be soldered into? Are the wires in a large group or are they separate and easy to find? I have very little automotive experience but I can solder the resistor in. Any info greatly appreciated. George
