Dent Removal

Anybody here removed dents from their truck using an off the shelf kit? I have a 4-5" dent in my fender that is bugging me. Not sure how to go about fixing it without having to paint. Any tips would be helpful.

Dents in plastic come out easier than metal...you can soften the plastic up with a hair dryer before gently pushing it back out from the back side.

Steel dents usually still have some pucker marks around it where the metal has yielded, so even if you get it popped back out it won't be as good as new. Repair shops are usually pretty good at working it back into shape if the paint hasn't cracked or scratched off.

The only dent puller I'd recommend trying is the suction cup. The other one where you glue it on and turn the screw is either useless or will pull the paint off instead and will end up leaving two additional smaller dents where the support feet were. Good luck!
