2004 Silverado trans problem

My Silverado won't shift into 2nd - feels like shifting into 3rd. Reving high until I release the gas. It also feels like no overdrive - engine reving at 3000rpm at 70 mph. Engine light comes on and my friend hooked up the reader to it. It says A and B solenoid bad. We replaced said A and B solenoid and a new filter. Is it the 2 solenoid in the middle rear of the tran when the pan is off, correct? No debris in the pan. After putting back together, it is still having the same problem. What to check or do next? Did we replace the correct solenoid?

yes, reverse is working. I suspect it's the 2-4 band.

I don't know what DTC code is...

with this info it will be more exact as to your pcm stored failure , with the drive train OEM data .

I would guess you need to rebuild the transmission with your issues.
