I've got a 94 s10 2.2l automatic that acts like it is running out of gas when the outside temperatures are above 85 or 90 degrees. i have a 40 minute drive to and from sork and in the morning i make it with no problems but with this weeks temperatures being above 90 on the way home i will get within 15 minutes when it acts like it is running out of gas and then dies. i have to wait anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour before i can start it back up and it will stay running. any ideas...im pretty lost on this one. the bad thing is i just graduate from college with an automotive degree:banghead:

How many miles on last good tune up?
Any cylinder miss fires?
It needs to be tested out when it does it.
Check for lose of spark or fuel pressure when it quits.
On fuel pressure hook up a fuel pressure gauge and drive it until it quits and watch fuel pressure for being up to specs when it acts up or quits.
And pull plug wire and check for good spark to plugs.
Also check for codes and check engine lights on or blinking when driving?.
Post back any codes.

get the ICM tested... if it is going bad, it will fail when it gets nice and hot, but work again when it has cooled off.
