Here it is again all you West Coast Luders... The 2nd Annual "North Meets South" summer meet. This is by far the most importnant meet to go to of the year. We all had alot of fun last year, and this year will be no less. Just like last year we will be meeting in the central coast of California to have a show, lunch, and end it all off with a thrilling ride through some amazing backcountry roads.

Once again the meet will be sponsored by R&D Motorsports, who last year provided $75 gift certificates for the winners of the show portion. The voting for the show portion of the meet will be done in "People's Choice" fashion. Basically, everyone who shows up to the event will be given a voting ballot, and an info card. The info card is placed on your dash and gives your car a number, as well as letting people know some info about you and your Lude. You then vote on which car you choose to be the best example of each category.

SHOW CATEGORIES ($$ = Prize):
$$*Best 5th Gen Base
$$*Best 5th Gen Type-SH
$$*Best 4th Gen VTEC
$$*Best 4th Gen Si/S
$$*Best of Show
*Best Engine Compartment
*Best Audio/Video System
*Most JDM

Some show class rules (applies to 4th Gens):
If you own a 4th Gen S, Si, or Si-4WS... and you have switched to a H22A engine; you are now in the "4th Gen VTEC" category. "Best 4th Gen Si/S" will only apply to Preludes with H23A, F22B, and F22A engines.

The meet will once again be held in Avila Beach, which is in San Luis Obispo, right next to the beach. Avila is right above Pismo Beach. Below are some maps to generalize you with the area.

To participate in the cruise after the show you will be required to sign a liability release... just to protect the organizers of the event in the case of accidents.

THIS IS AN ORGANIZED MEET. THERE WILL BE NO RACING OR SHOWING OFF OF SPEED IN ANYWAY (BURNOUT'S, ETC...). WE ARE PRELUDE OWNERS, SO WE SHOULD HAVE A LITTLE MORE CLASS WHEN IT COMES TO THESE THINGS. ANY VIOLATION WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM SHOW, REVOCATION OF ANY SHOW PRIZES, AND DISQUALIFICATION FROM ANY FUTURE "LUDE FEST WEST" EVENT.

i think anyone can go. there's no sign-up, just for the cruise afterwards. there's like 40ish luders just from the bay area caravaning to the show. i'd be surprised if 3/4 of that number actually goes. then you got a bunch comin from socal like LA or san diego. go to the website, i think they have a list of everyone going. i'm not sure if i can make it though so i'm not sure if i'll be going.
i think you can make it in 12 hours or less. just so long as you don't do 30 the whole way:p
