RPM sputters

Name is Brandan. I just bought a 1990 Crx si.. it has a so called "mini me" engine swap. However, it has the vtech controller too. Some of the vacuum hoses werent plugged in, sensor wasnt plugged in. I dont know where those hoses would go. Throttle body in the car is different. When i give the car gas, it jerks, and the rpms go crazy, and sometimes the car would shut off. Im thinking its bc the hoses arent in, 2 sensors arent plugged up, either dis. cap needs replaced, or fuel filter? not sure... any ideas??
