98 with replaced intake, won't start
Hello,
I have a 98 monte carlo z34 with a 3800 that I am at my wits end with. I was driving it and it was driving fine. I pulled into a parking lot and as I rolled in to the parking spot, the car began idling roughly. I shut it off. When I returned, the car would not start or turn over at all.
I assumed the car was hydrolocked and pulled the intake manifold after discovering antifreeze on several of the spark plugs. The top of the intake manifold was full of antifreeze. I removed the coolant and cleaned all the metal surfaces. I replaced the lower intake gasket with the fel pro aluminum "problem solver" gaskets and replaced the upper intake gasket between the manifold and plenum.
I reconnected everything correctly (as far as I can tell) and tried to start the car. I have not been able to get it to fire up at all.
1. The battery is charged and the starter spins the motor.
2. I have checked for and have spark.
3. I do not have a fuel press. guage but there is fuel in the rail when i check the schrader valve.
4. I am able to turn over the motor by turning the crank with a ratchet.
5. No codes come up telling me that I have a sensor hooked up wrong.
6. I pulled the plugs and am letting the cylinders dry out since I found a dark liquid on the plugs that is gasoline as far as i can tell.
Right now I am coming up empty. Any ideas? Any thing else to try? Thanks in advance.

You should change the oil here although that is not the issue. You do not know if the injectors are pulsing so spray some carb cleaner into the intake see if it at least tries to start and post back.

I left the plugs out for a couple days and came back and cleaned up the plugs and cleaned out the MAP sensor. The car started but ran rough and then gave me a p0300 code (multiple misfire). I tried to start it again and the starter grenaded. The engine has hydrolocked again. I am not going to see if O'Reilly's is really going to honor the warranty on the gasket set. It seems that one of the rubber end gaskets has failed but i am not certain that would be enough for the engine to fill with antifreeze again. The intake is aluminum and the new gaskets are the fel pro aluminum ones.
