wont stay started

99 cav. 2.2 . ran fine last week when i droped car off at work ( i drive a truck ) came back and tried to start. started for about a second then died. if i try turning it over again i get nothing. if i kick the key back to off position and then try again it will start for the same second and die. also, interior, exterior and dash lights all are not working. any ideas? thanks for any help
