Hi, I have a 1998 plymouth voyager. I just bought it, When I got it I was having issues with the alarm. I got that problem solved. Now, sometimes the dashboard gages will not work at all. I hit the dashboard and they worked for a minute. now my van won't start. I just got a new battery, and new cables. I know its not the battery, cause all the lights, and radio work. it just won't turn over, and sometimes the windows won't go down. its all power. Any solutions?

Sounds like a typical instrument cluster solder joint issue. Here's how to gain access to the instrument cluster and fix it. All you need are basic tools, a soldering iron and a bit of solder: Open "98t&c dash removal" low in right column then click slideshow at upper right:http://www.flickr.com/photos/landar/

With age the solder joints on the instrument cluster circuit board connector crack opening the data bus circuit, killing the instrument cluster and starting. An all too common problem.
