'98 2.0 won't always start

I have a 1998 Contour that has puzzled many people, it cranks part of the time and times just wings over. I have replaced crankshaft sensor, camshaft sensor, new plugs, and fuel filter. It really acts like it is not getting enough gas but the fuel rail pressure stays steady at 35-40 lbs. of pressure and every plug is firing. May crank today and when it does, it will run up to 100 mph without missing a lick. I am totally confused, anyone have any suggestions?:runaround: Please help!
